“ I'm not sure why we haven't visited Wood Ranch sooner, but this is a first for our group of three out of four. The buttery rolls are an excellent way to start your meal while you browse the menu. We were thoroughly satisfied with every dish we ordered, including the sliders, salad, soup, baby back ribs, and tri-tip. The shredded onion was a hit as an appetizer. The restaurant's interior is modern, clean, and spacious, making it an ideal spot for a day trip out. The bar area is also worth noting, as it's a great place to relax and unwind. Unfortunately, our waiter seemed disinterested and unresponsive to our needs, failing to acknowledge our request at times. Hopefully this was just one of those days and that it doesn't happen in the future. ”

“ Didn't have to wait for seating because we were very happy with the bar setting and it was very empty. Great atmosphere and the young lady that helped us was very polite and personable. “ I was in town yesterday visiting family and we decided to try out this place! It reminds me a lot of Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ back home (I'm from the South Bay). It was very quiet and there was plenty of seating. The restaurant also looked very clean. We came at a good time around 12:30pm. I ordered the BBQ Chicken with a side of macaroni and cheese. Husband got Sirloin with baked potato. It was very delicious and everything tasted fresh. We were a party of 12 so it did take a while for us to receive our food. We were celebrating an important milestone and the staff was friendly and helped us with our celebration by providing a complimentary dessert. Thanks Wood Ranch! I will be back again if I am in the area. If you are looking for good quality BBQ, this is your place! ”

“ I've been going to Wood Ranch for as long as I can remember, and I had actually been craving their delish bbq so I was pumped when I noticed a location in Ventura when I was out there recently. The tri tip and baby back ribs were absolutely delish as expected, and the BBQ sauce is just so amazing. For sides, I would recommend the coleslaw and/or the mashed potatoes. I've tried various other items at Wood Ranch over the years out of curiosity including the Veggie Burger this time, but the BBQ items are the way to go at Wood Ranch.. specifically the tri tip and the baby back ribs. Excellent, friendly service and just absolutely amazing, mouthwatering BBQ. They're also just so consistent with quality, taste, and service across all their locations...You can't ever go wrong with Wood Ranch! ”

“ I'm not sure why Wood Ranch isn't on my radar more often? For an American BBQ chain I will say they are doing a lot right. Everytime I come here I have a great meal and super friendly service and ask myself why I don't come more often. Hence the cycle repeats lol because that was me again today. This Ventura location is the one I frequent the most in the 805. Located outside of the mall I drive by here often. It definitely is a location that gets busy but I also find the service to be much better here then the one closer to my home. For that reason I try to frequent this location more. This location has plenty of parking and even when they are busy I feel like they really keep the tables moving. The food comes out fresh and hot, nice pace. Staff here are super kind and attentive. Also why does everyone who works at this location look like a model or something? The gals and guys are so cute! Haha. Anyways, I appreciate their hustle here and that everyone is always very nice. Never had bad service here and I love watching the way that the staff all support each other here. Very good vibes and a sense of community between the team, that's what makes good service and a cohesive team. The food always hits. I get this isn't old school classic bbq but got a chain they've really got it down. Who can only have one garlic roll here?! Delicious. I've had almost everything here and it always tastes delicious. From the salads, to the burgers, and the bbq plates - fantastic. While I love everything here I love how tender their tri tip is and the bbq sauce here is sweet and mild, I like it. Never had a bad meal and it's nice that I can rotate between different dishes and they are always cooked well and tasty. ' ”
